Day Two
Picking up where I left off yesterday... it's easy to get started when I know where to begin.
No manager for the Western Museum Group WMG?
The peeps at the Denver Museum of Art manage the Western Alliance and they told me they don't have time to answer my questions.
Just remembered: Whitney just started their own 1:1 program. I need to email them.
Does membership place the stickers on the cards BEFORE they send them out, or do they send the stickers with the cards and ask the members to put them on?
Asian Art Museums (in Western Alliance program) spells out how many people are allowed to get in - one per membership card - two total. Why isn't this listed more? It's on a case by case basis most of the time. Is that okay or should everyone be more clear?
de Young and Legion of Honor are collectively called the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco.
I'm just looking at websites. Who knows how they promote reciprocal membership on the frontlines... rack cards, signage, brochures?? My paper won't address this at all, is that ok?
Emailed Asian Art Museum, de young/Legion of Honor, and San Diego Museum of Art...
Asked them all for samples, two I asked for sticker ordering info, one I asked for data.
I only email people who responded to my survey. I didn't email some people because they are a part of many reciprocal programs I haven't analyzed yet and there may be more pressing questions to ask about the other programs.
Have to redo queries because I've added fields since the last time I did them. Also need to create forms for each query so they are easier to analyze. A nice mindless task!
