But tackling the secong biggest one today- Museum Alliance with 32 participating museums.
Are museums moving towards the one to one model so they have more control? SFMOMA says"We are one of the largest institutions in our current reciprocal program. We are interested in the idea of the Whitney model, where we set up independent 1:1 reciprocal relationships with other museums that are closer to our size/interest. We would need to decide if we have the bandwidth to support the additional administrative workload that this would entail."
